Task /Question
The candidates must be able to produce a report that demonstrates breadth of understanding of Human Resources Policies and Procedures. You are to investigate two (2) different policies from two different sources and through undertaking research, provide evidence of a robust review process, giving examples and documenting the review report in the required format.
You will develop a report based upon material covered during the course and importantly your own research. It will be necessary to demonstrate your additional research.
Your report is to be based on responding to the following:
> research and provide examples of human resource policies and procedures and an
assessment of their:
> strengths
> weaknesses
> recommendations to enhance.
> any ethical, legal or other compliance factors are to be considered and taken into
account. (if none exist, then it is necessary to state this).
Instuctions
- Ignore the instructions to do the learning activities in the main workbook
- Ignore instructions to upload work. Just send it to me
- Base your report mainly around the provided workbook but do some extra research from 2 other sources, either print or web based.
- References/appendix should be in Harvard style
- When listing the workbook in the references section list it as "Review human resource functions (BSBHRM401A), workbook, Open Colleges Pty Ltd 2011."
- The format of the report will be:
title page
table of contents
executive summary
introduction
discussion/main points
conclusions
recommendations
references-Harvard style.
appendices
> within the introduction include details of research strategies you have adopted
> evidence of resources utilised
> where you have consulted with relevant personnel will be evident
> polices and procedures researched will form an appendix to your report.
Note: the assessment task requires that you concentrate on the content of the policy/procedure – there is not a requirement to cover components such as document control and issuing authority.
