Improving Transactional Processing in AIS

As you know, technology is changing at a rapid pace. Because of these changes, AIS applications must human resources / payroll cycle, and financial report in order to keep the firm competitive.  

 

Write a six to eight (6-8) page paper in which you: 

1.  Propose two (2) innovative technology changes that would be appropriate for a  a)  Revenue (sales to cash collection) cycle;  

b)  Expenditure (purchase to cash disbursements) cycle;  c)  Human resources / payroll cycle; and  d)  Financial reporting / general ledger system.  

2.  Suggest two (2) controls for each of the AIS information system applications (revenue cycle, expenditure cycle, production cycle, human recourse / payroll cycle, and the general ledger / financial reporting system) that will mitigate potential threats.  

3.  Compose three (3) processes or procedures that will be needed to help the firm and its employees adapt to these changes. 

4.  Assess whether firms need to be more aggressive or cautious updating or changing AIS applications and processes considering the rapid pace technology is changing. 

5.  Use at least four (4) quality academic resources in this assignment. Note: Wikipedia and other Websites do not qualify as academic resources.
